From the moment you see it towering above the palm trees, The Giant looks like something out of a cartoon: two enormous spinning bowls where riders circle again and again before finally vanishing down the centre. It’s one of the most visually impressive attractions in Siam Park Tenerife, and it delivers a type of thrill you don’t quite find anywhere else in the park.
Known simply as “The Giant Siam Park”, this twin-slide attraction is all about suspense, disorientation, and laughter. Unlike the straight speed of Tower of Power or the high-tech launch of Singha, The Giant is unpredictable, you never know how long you’ll spin before the drop.

What it feels like to ride The Giant
You start in darkness, sliding through an enclosed tunnel that builds speed. Then, without warning, you burst into a massive open bowl. The raft swings up the sides, water spraying, as you spin in wide circles. At moments, it feels like you might actually climb over the edge and then gravity pulls you back down, only to fling you up again on the other side.
The strangest part is the suspense. You can see the hole at the bottom, but you don’t know when the raft will finally line up and drop through. Sometimes it happens almost immediately; other times you spin around and around, laughing nervously as the tension builds.
On our first ride, we spun so many times that by the time we finally dropped, everyone in the raft was laughing so hard we could barely breathe. A visitor summed it up perfectly in a review:
“It’s like being in a giant washing machine, you think you’re safe, then suddenly you’re gone.”
Why The Giant stands out
One of the things that makes The Giant unique is that it’s actually two slides side by side. This means queues move faster than at single-track attractions, and it also adds a competitive element. Many groups race each other, one raft on the left, the other on the right, to see who spins down into the centre first.
It’s also one of the few rides where every experience feels different. The weight of your group, the way you enter the bowl, even how you’re sitting in the raft: all of these affect how many spins you’ll make before the final drop. That unpredictability is what keeps people coming back again and again.
Height and safety requirements
To ride The Giant, guests must be at least 1.25 metres (4 ft 1 in) tall. Riders sit in two-person inflatable rafts, with lifeguards checking that everyone is seated securely before launch. Loose items like phones, jewellery, or glasses are not permitted.
Although there’s no set age limit, the spinning motion and suspense of the drop make it more suitable for older children, teens, and adults rather than very young kids.

Tips for riding The Giant
Because there are two slides, queues for The Giant are usually shorter than for headline attractions like The Dragon or Singha. If you’re visiting on a busy day, this is a good ride to head to when other lines are long.
From experience, it’s worth riding The Giant more than once. On our second attempt, the raft dropped almost instantly, giving us a completely different ride compared to our first spin-around marathon. That variety is part of the fun, no two rides feel exactly the same.
