What makes The Dragon unique?
The Siam Park Dragon water slide is built around a massive funnel designed to resemble a dragon’s open mouth. Riders descend in four-person rafts, making this one of the best group rides in the park. After a twisting start in enclosed tubes, the raft suddenly bursts into the funnel. Here, you climb almost vertically up the walls before plunging back down, creating the feeling of floating weightless.
Having ridden it ourselves, the most striking part is the unpredictability. One run might send your raft soaring high up the left side, while the next tips you almost vertical on the right. Every ride feels slightly different, which keeps it exciting even if you go more than once.

The ride experience
The Dragon begins in darkness. As the raft shoots through winding tubes, anticipation builds. Then daylight explodes around you as you’re thrown into the funnel, facing the dragon’s massive shape. The raft swings up and down the walls, and in those brief moments you feel like you’re defying gravity.
One visitor summed it up perfectly in a review: “The Dragon is amazing. We went back three times — it feels like floating, then dropping, and then floating again.” Another added: “Best ride for groups. You never know where you’ll end up inside the funnel, and that’s what makes it so addictive.”
Height, age and rider requirements
The Dragon is a group ride, which means you need between two and four people per raft, solo riding is not allowed.
- Minimum height: 1.25 m (4 ft 1 in)
- Recommended age: no strict minimum age, but children usually need to be around 8 years or older to meet the height requirement.
- Weight restrictions: lifeguards may also check the total combined weight to ensure safe balance of the raft.
Staff are strict about safety: before departure, they check that everyone is holding the handles, seated correctly, and wearing no loose items like glasses or jewellery. The lifeguards are friendly but firm, and will not allow a ride if requirements aren’t met.

Tips from our visits
In our experience, queues for the Dragon Siam Park Tenerife are shorter than for the Tower of Power, but they can still build during the afternoon. To ride multiple times, it’s best to go earlier in the day. Lockers are available near the entrance, more details about services are listed on the opening hours & season page.
The viewing area near the funnel is also a great spot for photos or for friends who prefer to watch. The scale of the funnel makes it one of the most photogenic rides in Siam Park.
