El Makami

The Canary Islands are known for their tapas culture, and for a good reason. Tapas are a great way to sample various dishes without committing to a large meal. They’re also perfect for socializing, as one person or a group can enjoy them.

Tapas bars can be found all over Tenerife, and they’re usually packed with locals and tourists alike. If you’re looking to try some traditional tapas in Playa de Fañabé, El Makami is a place you should not miss.

Their most popular tapas include papas bravas, papas Canaria con mojo, fish croquetas, padron peppers, meatballs, tempura shrimp, falafel, fried calamari, and grilled goat cheese. Of course, there are many other delicious options to choose from. They also have a good variety of pizzas on the menu.

For drinks to pair with tapas, most guests want something light and refreshing, like a cold beer, sangria, or white wine. If you’re looking for something a little more substantial, you can go with red wine or a cocktail like a strawberry mojito. Some of our favorite pairings include a glass of cava with gambas al ajillo (shrimp in garlic sauce), a house red wine with papas bravas, or a gin and tonic with a Spanish omelet.

Whatever you choose to drink, make sure you enjoy it with some good company and delicious tapas! Salud!
