The resort town of Costa Teguise is located on the East coast of the island of Lanzarote. It was developed for tourism especially and is surrounded by four beaches: Playa de Los Charcos, Playa del Jablillo, Playa Bastian and Playa de las Cucharas. It is the number 3 most popular tourist destination on the island of Lanzarote and promises sandy beaches, an array of local restaurants and plenty of accommodation options.

Costa Teguise was lovingly nicknamed by its frequent visitors “Breezy Teguise”, as it gets a light breeze at all times and has a consistent climate that is warm almost all of the year. At the height of summer, Coste Teguise has average temperatures of around 25°C, while peaks may reach an estimated 28°C. In the winter months, the average temperature stays at 17°C, with the sea waters temperatures lingering at around 18°C.



Costa Teguise has many beaches open for exploration. Whether you are traveling solo, as a family or as a couple, you are guaranteed to find the right spot on the sand to suit your wishes. Bastian beach is most frequented by families, as it is the perfect spot for a picnic with the little ones, while Cucharas beach is a must-see for watersports enthusiasts and surfers.

The Lanzarote Aquarium

This park is especially fitting for children who are a little older and above all, over a meter tall. They offer different slides and rides, and you can even avail of a photographer, who can help immortalize your day in the sun.

Pirate Museum

Who wouldn’t want to visit a real-life pirate museum? The Museo de la Pirateria is a museum inside the Castle of Santa Barbara, which sits up on a hill – which is already an impressive feat in itself. With an entrance fee of 3€, you can learn more about 200 years of pirate history, with the guide of Spanish and English interactive displays that help illustrate the stories. You will have the option of walking up to the castle or driving up, as parking is also available for its guests.


Barcelo Taguise Beach

The Barcelo Teguise Beach is an adults-only hotel that is only 150 meters away from the closest beach. It features deluxe double or twin rooms, with the option to book one facing the sea for the best views, and even inclusive spa packages. A large outdoor pool surrounded by palm trees offers the perfect venue for a day spent lazing in the sun, with a nearby bar providing snacks and drinks all day. To get to Costa Teguise, you will have to fly into the Lanzarote airport. From here you have the option of taking a car, should you decide to rent one for your trip. You will be able to find several companies who offer good deals right upon arrival at the terminal.

Taxis can be found all over the airport, and will be pretty inexpensive, as Costa Teguise isn’t far from the airport. You can expect to pay around 25€, should you choose to take a cab into town. Airport shuttle transfers are most inexpensive, at around 4€ per person. This will have to be prearranged before your arrival in Lanzarote.
